File menu
Use the File menu to open, save, close, and print new or existing database files, and to import and export tables.
| File menu commands | Description |

| New | Displays the New table structure dialog box as shown below. Shortcut: CTRL+N |
| Open | Displays the Open dialog box for loading an existing database file. Shortcut: CTRL+O |
| Open workspace | Displays the Open dialog box for loading an existing workspace file. |
| Save workspace | Saves current environment of opened dbf files into a workspace file. |
| Save workspace as | Saves current environment of opened dbf files into different workspace file. |
| Close | Closes the current database file. |
| Close all | Closes all open files. |
| Import | Imports records from xls, txt, csv, xlsx, xml, dbf file formats into existing database. |
| Export | Exports the current database file to SQL script, HTML, MS Excel, CSV, TXT or DBF file. |
| Refresh | Refreshes the current database file. Shortcut: F5 |
| Structure | Displays the Table structure dialog box as shown below. Shortcut: ALT+S |
| Index Manager | Displays the Index Manager dialog box. It allows you easily create, open, modify index files for the current database file. Shortcut: ALT+I |
| Encryption | Allows you set/remove password to/from database file. |
| Zap | Removes all records from the current database file. |
| Pack | Removes deleted records from a database file. |
| Print overview | Opens the active database file in the printer preview window. |
| Sends the active database file to the printer. Shortcut: CTRL+P | |
| Print report | Prints an existing report for the active database file Note: This feature is not available for Regular licenses. |
| Exit | Closes the open tables and exits DBF Manager. |
