Record menu

Use the Record menu for records manipulation in the database file.

Record menu commands Description
Insert Inserts the new record to the current database file. Shortcut: INS
Delete/Recall Delete is a database command that tags records so they can be filtered with Show deleted records set command, or physically removed from the database file with Pack. Once records are deleted, you can reinstate them by using Recall. If you want to remove all records from a database file, use Zap command. You may mark for deletion either current record or selected records. Shortcut: F8
Duplicate Record(s) Duplicates either selected records or current record.
Edit Edit is permit editing of the active record in a database file.
Post Post is write a modified record to the database file.
Cancel Cancel is undo modifications made to one or more fields belonging to the active record.
First First is position the cursor on the first record in the database file and makes it the active record. Prior posts any changes to the active record.
Prior Prior is position the cursor on the previous record in the database file and makes it the active record. Prior posts any changes to the active record.
Next Next is position the cursor on the next record in the database file and makes it the active record. Prior posts any changes to the active record.
Last Last is position the cursor on the last record in the database file and makes it the active record. Prior posts any changes to the active record.
